This policy explains what personal data we collect when you visit parkypup.com or buy from us, why, who we share it with, and your rights under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), the Data Protection Act 2018 and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR).
1. Who we are
Parky Pup is an online shop run by Leonardo Sanches de Almeida Ventura, trading as Parky Pup, from Brazil. We sell only to customers in the United Kingdom, and orders ship from our partner warehouses in China.
For data protection purposes, Leonardo Sanches de Almeida Ventura (sole trader, Brazil) is the controller of your personal data. Address: Avenida Guilherme Giorgi 928, Apto 131B, São Paulo, SP, 03422-000, Brazil.

We don't sell your personal data, and we don't make decisions about you using solely automated processing that has legal or similarly significant effects.
4. Who we share it with
We share only what each provider needs to do its job:
- Wix.com — hosts our website, shop, checkout, customer accounts, forms (including the returns form) and emails.
- Customer support tools — we use an AI assistant to help read and draft replies to your messages and returns requests. Refunds above a set amount, disputes, safety reports and complaints are always handled by Leonardo personally.
- Payment providers — such as Stripe and any other payment methods shown at checkout, to take payment and prevent fraud.
- Order fulfilment — DSers (our order-management tool) and our product suppliers on AliExpress, together with their partner warehouses in China. They receive your name, delivery address, phone number and the items ordered so they can pack and ship your parcel (including any replacement). If an item is faulty, we may share your photos and order number (not your contact details) with the supplier to resolve the claim.
- Delivery companies — the international carrier and the UK delivery company that handles the final leg receive the details needed to deliver your parcel and send tracking updates.
- Advertising and analytics partners — for example Google, Meta (Facebook/Instagram), TikTok or Pinterest, only if you accept those cookies.
- Professional advisers and authorities — accountants, lawyers, HMRC or other authorities where the law requires it.
5. International transfers
Because of how our shop works, your data is processed outside the UK:
- Brazil — where the shop is run and your emails are answered.
- China — where our suppliers and warehouses pack and ship your order. Sharing your delivery details with them is necessary to fulfil the contract you've asked us to perform (UK GDPR Art. 49(1)(b)).
- United States, EU and other countries — where providers like Wix and Stripe operate.
Where the UK hasn't made an adequacy decision for a country, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses (as offered by our providers), or, where these aren't available, on a transfer being necessary to perform your contract. Email us if you'd like more information.
6. How long we keep it
- Orders, invoices and refunds: 6 years after the end of the tax year (UK tax rules).
- Customer service emails: up to 2 years after the matter is closed, unless linked to an order.
- Marketing list: until you unsubscribe, then we keep a suppression record so we don't email you again.
- Accounts: until you ask us to close your account.
- Cookies: see the cookie banner for each cookie's lifetime.
7. Your rights
You have the right to:
- access a copy of your personal data;
- correct inaccurate data;
- delete your data (where we don't need to keep it by law);
- restrict or object to our use of your data, including at any time to direct marketing;
- data portability;
- withdraw consent at any time (this doesn't affect what we did before).
To use any of these rights, email hello@parkypup.com. We'll reply within one month. It's free.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO): ico.org.uk · 0303 123 1113.
8. Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies:
- Essential cookies — needed for the site, bag and checkout to work. These don't need consent.
- Analytics cookies — help us understand which pages are useful. Only with your consent.
- Advertising cookies — help us measure our ads and show them to people who may be interested. Only with your consent.
When you first visit, our cookie banner lets you accept, reject or choose. You can change your mind at any time using the "Cookie settings" link on the site. Rejecting non-essential cookies won't stop you shopping.
9. Security
Our website and checkout run on Wix with encrypted (HTTPS) connections, and payments are processed by PCI-DSS-compliant providers. Only Leonardo has access to customer data in the shop dashboard.
10. Changes
We'll update this policy if anything changes and show the new date at the top.
